Case study

CreC website design

Project overview

This project was initiated in 2024 at the request of Dos Pinos, the largest dairy producer in Costa Rica and Central America. The request was part of a relaunch campaign for the Cre-c product line, a series of nutritional supplements designed to support the diets of children aged 1 to 3 years.
As part of this effort, Dos Pinos envisioned a website that would not only promote the Cre-c products but also serve as a reliable resource for parents seeking information on childhood nutrition. In this project i contributed as a Visual Designer, UX Designer, and UX Writer. My responsibilities included crafting an engaging visual identity, designing an intuitive user experience, and creating clear, user-centered copy to guide and inform users throughout the platform.

The challenge

Dos Pinos needed a solution that balanced two distinct yet interconnected goals: creating a welcoming, user-friendly website that serves as a trusted resource for parents of children aged 1 to 3, while also effectively promoting the Cre-c product line. The site had to provide detailed nutritional information about the products and guide users to external platforms where they could make purchases.

To meet this challenge, the Sevensoft team envisioned a platform that could serve as both a supportive tool for parents and a marketing hub for Cre-c products. The journey began with designing a fully responsive site that seamlessly combined these two elements. By focusing on intuitive navigation and usability, the team created a harmonious blend of informative content and promotional features, all while staying true to Dos Pinos’ brand identity and commitment to quality.

Wireframing

The project began with the design of a low-fidelity wireframe. At first, the site design focused on a home page containing a main banner, a carousel of Cre-c products, blog categories, and recent blog entries. Additionally, the original brief asked for a wireframe for a published blog post layout.
As the project progressed, the scope expanded to include more sections and features. This growth required additional prototyping efforts to ensure the design could accommodate the evolving requirements while maintaining a user-friendly and cohesive experience.

High Fidelity Design

The visual identity of the site evolved through an iterative process, involving multiple review sessions with stakeholders and Dos Pinos’ marketing team. These sessions ensured the site’s design aligned with the vision of the Cre-c relaunch campaign.

Another highlight from the visual design phase of the project was that it allowed me  to work closely with Dos Pinos’ internal design team to harmonize the website’s aesthetic with the brand’s broader marketing strategy. The final result was a cohesive and visually striking platform that reflected both the campaign’s goals and the brand’s values.

All the information you need in one site

The primary goal of the site was to provide users with a valuable space to explore and learn. The design serves as a platform where parents can learn about the Cre-c product line while receiving information about nutrition, parenting, and childcare. The platform is designed to support and guide families during the wonderful and formative stage of early childhood, offering resources that empower parents to make informed decisions for their children.

Visual design and diagramation

One of the challenges in this project was converting raw information, originally provided as Word documents, into engaging and user-friendly blog layouts. I incorporated structured hierarchies,  imagery, and custom icons to guide users seamlessly through the content. This approach not only enhanced readability but also aligned the content with the overall visual identity of the website, creating a cohesive and enjoyable experience for users.
