The Costa Rican company Biotech sought to develop the visual identity and website for its new line of eco-friendly agricultural products, Biovenko.
Sevensoft’s team took on the project in early 2023, dividing it into two phases. My role in the project included designing the brand’s visual identity and handling the visual, interface, and user experience design for the website.
Biotech, a Costa Rican company specializing in agricultural research and testing, required a visual identity for its eco-friendly agricultural product line. Additionally, they needed a website to promote their products and educate the public on agricultural production and research.
The first phase of the project focused on creating a visual identity and logo. We began by interviewing the client to understand their needs and expectations. This was followed by design sessions where different logo options were presented until the client was satisfied with the final proposal.
The resulting logo symbolizes both a sunrise over a field and a flower—representing growth, hope, and nature. For the color palette, we selected hues that convey key brand values such as conservation, balance, and life.
For the second phase, we conducted a competitive analysis, examining similar websites to understand best practices. Joint work sessions helped define the site architecture and desired sections. Using this information, we developed wireframes, components, and, eventually, a high-fidelity prototype.
The resulting logo symbolizes both a sunrise over a field and a flower—representing growth, hope, and nature. For the color palette, we selected hues that convey key brand values such as conservation, balance, and life.
A low-fidelity prototype of the full website was created to preview its structure, element placement, and content.
This prototype underwent review sessions with the client, ensuring their approval before moving to high-quality design.
Building on the visual design established for the logo, the website’s identity was defined, including typography, colors, and component designs. The final design was presented to the client, receiving excellent feedback and results.
This project was an excellent opportunity to strengthen my visual design and communication skills. Beyond creating the structure and foundation, we developed a complete visual identity from scratch, later applied to the website’s design.
Additionally, working closely with the client allowed me to deeply understand their business and needs, greatly facilitating the design process.
